Then I have to remove the 6.1.x kernel from my system and reboot to 5.10.x. To work around this problem I must have the 5.10.x kernel installed. Since Kernel 5.9 I can no longer install the Nvidia drivers directly on these recent kernels, or I have an error message that appears on reboot indicating that lightdm (from Cinnamon) could not start. With kernel 5.8 and earlier it was enough to do :
